A dynamic portfolio website for a unique artist
The artist’s website was outdated, with a style and projects no longer aligned with his current vision and artistic approach. This website relied on PDF files for each page, which presented numerous disadvantages. The main issues were the difficulty of updating content with new projects and exhibitions, and the fact that the site was not responsive and could not be properly viewed on mobile devices.
We worked with him to create a new online platform that reflects his unique style, allowing him to showcase his work in drawing, animation, and exhibitions in a dynamic and personalized way. The new portfolio website not only had to stand out for its functionality but also needed to act as an extension of his artwork, integrating visual elements and animations that represent his artistic identity. Additionally, it was essential for the artist to manage and update the portfolio independently and with ease.
We succeeded in creating a digital portfolio as unique and dynamic as the artist’s work, fully managed by him.
Our solution
We developed a clean and minimalist web design, emphasizing the use of white as a background to highlight his works while reflecting the same visual principles present in his art. We broke away from traditional grid structures, opting for a free arrangement that conveyed an intentional sense of disorder featured in his creative work.
Additionally, we worked with him to select a unique typography that matched his style, enhancing his visual personality and impact.
We used WordPress as the foundation to ensure the artist could easily update his portfolio by adding new works, exhibitions, or future projects without depending on technical support.
We customized the theme and code to adapt unique elements to his needs, from page design to dynamic interactions. Additionally, we provided complete documentation so he could independently update content and other components, all while maintaining this new interface and design.
We personalized the website with animations created by the artist, including an animated logo and a custom cursor he designed. Other interactive effects, such as animations triggered when hovering over artworks, were also added, creating an immersive experience for visitors as they explore his art.
